Hot Air Balloon Fest 2020: Back and Near the Metro

Twenty-six years ago, Philippines’ very first hot air balloon festival was held in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. Since then, the iconic festival has been celebrated annually every second week of February, except for 2019. Last year, the hot air balloon festival, titled “A Weekend of Everything That Flies” was canceled due to issues with coordination with their partners in the government.

When & Where?
This year, the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta announced that the event will push through and because “it’s a new year, it’s a new venue” as they posted on their website. This year’s hot air balloon fest will be held on March 6 to 8, at San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite.

This year, the event that the organizers called the “Flying Carnival 2020” will be a weekend of ALMOST everything that files. Aside from the traditional showcase of hot air balloons of different sizes and shapes, you get to check out bazaars that offer food and various gift items and even attend seminars on aviation for three whole days.

Of course, if you plan to be there, you’ll opt to be there to the event’s fullest and take the rides yourself! You can get a lift and ride some of their hot air balloons and helicopters, or even try tandem paragliding.
